Machine Operator

Our client operates a busy Infrabuild facility in Hemel and is on the lookout for an experienced Machine Operator to join their production team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced steel and reinforcing products environment where your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be put to good use every single day. You'll be working alongside a tight-knit crew, operating and maintaining production machinery as part of a well-run operation. The team values people who show up ready to work, follow procedures without cutting corners, and communicate well when something needs attention. Safety is non-negotiable here, and the right person will treat it that way. This role suits someone with solid machine operating experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting who is looking for stable, long-term work with a team that knows what it's doing.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery in line with standard operating procedures and safety requirements
• Monitor machine performance and product output to ensure quality standards are met
• Carry out basic machine adjustments and changeovers as required
• Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on plant and equipment
• Identify and report faults, breakdowns or quality issues to the supervisor promptly
• Follow all site WHS policies, procedures and housekeeping standards
• Complete production records, logs and basic documentation accurately
• Work collaboratively with the broader production team to meet daily output targets

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, steel, or heavy industrial environment(Essential)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen(Essential)
• Ability to work rotating shifts including early mornings and afternoons(Essential)
• Physically capable of working in a demanding production environment, including standing for extended periods and manual handling(Essential)
• Previous experience in a steel, reinforcing or metals processing facility
