Labourer

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and physically fit Labourer to join our client's team in Dandenong, VIC. Our client operates in the coatings and surface preparation industry, and we need someone who can hit the ground running on a busy industrial site. This is a labour hire role with ongoing work available for the right person. Day-to-day, you'll be supporting the coatings crew with hands-on labouring tasks including surface prep, general site duties, and keeping the work area safe and tidy. You'll be working alongside experienced tradespeople in a fast-paced environment, so a strong work ethic and the ability to take direction are a must. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up on time, and is keen to build their experience in the coatings and industrial maintenance sector. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with surface preparation tasks including grinding, blasting, and cleaning prior to coatings application
• Support trade staff with general labouring duties as directed on site
• Mix and prepare coatings, paints, and materials as required
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work site at all times
• Handle and move materials, equipment, and supplies safely around the site
• Follow all WHS procedures, site safety rules, and PPE requirements
• Dispose of waste materials in accordance with site and environmental guidelines
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure work is completed on time

Requirements

• Current White Card (Construction Induction Card)(Essential)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen(Essential)
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in varied conditions including confined spaces and heights(Essential)
• Previous experience in labouring, surface preparation, or the coatings/painting industry
• Current forklift licence (LF ticket)
• Confined Space and/or Working at Heights certification
