About the Role
If you love working with your hands and want to build a career in a specialised trade - with all your training paid for - this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. We're placing a motivated labourer/installer's assistant with a busy height safety systems operation based in Ravenhall. The role is permanent full time with paid overtime on offer and an immediate start for the right person. You'll be working hands-on alongside qualified height safety installers, helping deliver fall prevention solutions across commercial sites. Some non-regular travel is involved, with all relevant penalties and expenses covered. No prior experience in height safety is required - the team will provide all training on the job. You'll earn $35/hr plus applicable overtime rates, and enjoy a 2-week Christmas closure each year so you're always home with family over the holidays. Uniforms, tools, and safety equipment are all provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified Height Safety System Installers on commercial sites
- Help install fall prevention and height safety systems
- Attend site-specific inductions as required
- Undertake on-the-job training to obtain relevant certified qualifications
- Participate in non-regular travel to various sites (all expenses covered)
Requirements
- Ability to pass full medical and random drug & alcohol testing(Essential)
- Experience in commercial height safety, roof plumbing, carpentry, or construction trades
- Understanding of design specifications to industry standards
