Machine Operator

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to join a busy team based in Tamworth, NSW. This is a labour hire opportunity working in the ARC (reinforced concrete/steel reinforcement) industry, so you'll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment where accuracy and consistency matter. You'll be operating machinery as part of an established crew, contributing to the smooth running of daily production targets. We need someone who takes pride in their work, follows safe work procedures without being told twice, and can hit the ground running with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently in line with site procedures
• Monitor machine performance and report any faults, breakdowns or maintenance needs promptly
• Conduct pre-start checks on equipment and complete relevant documentation
• Follow work orders and production schedules to meet daily output targets
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation in line with housekeeping standards
• Identify and report hazards, near misses or unsafe conditions to the supervisor
• Work as part of a team to support overall production flow and efficiency
• Adhere to all WHS policies, site rules and safe work method statements

Requirements

• Proven experience operating industrial or production machinery in a manufacturing, civil or construction-related environment(Essential)
• Current Construction Induction Card (White Card)(Essential)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen(Essential)
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks in a hands-on environment, including standing for extended periods and manual handling(Essential)
• Current forklift licence (LF ticket) or other relevant plant tickets
• Experience in the ARC, steel reinforcement or concrete products industry
