About the Role

Our client is a busy brick and block laying operation working on residential and commercial projects on the Mornington Peninsula, currently based around the Rye area. As a labourer on site, you'll be working alongside experienced bricklayers, keeping the job moving so the tradespeople can do what they do best. This is a casual full-time role with consistent hours on offer for the right person. The work is physical and hands-on, and no two days are exactly the same. You'll be mixing mortar, shifting materials, setting up and packing down, and generally making sure the site is safe, tidy, and ready to go at all times. Key Responsibilities

• Mix and supply mortar and concrete to bricklayers throughout the day
• Unload and stack bricks, blocks, and other materials as delivered to site
• Set up scaffolding materials and assist with restricted height scaffolding tasks as directed
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and free of trip hazards at all times
• Carry out manual excavation and basic levelling tasks as required
• Assist with loading and disposal of site waste and off-cuts
• Support the bricklaying team with general labouring tasks to maintain workflow
• Follow all site safety procedures and WHS requirements at all times

Requirements

• Valid White Card (Construction Induction) - must be held before starting on site(Essential)
• Must be physically fit and capable of sustained heavy manual labour including lifting, carrying, and bending throughout the day(Essential)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen(Essential)
• Valid Car Driver Licence (Class C) and reliable transport to reach the Rye area(Essential)
• Previous labouring experience in construction or a bricklaying environment is preferred
• Experience mixing mortar or working with masonry materials is an advantage
