About the Role

Boton CS is looking for experienced Belt Splicers to join their team on a casual basis in Perth, WA. This is hands-on work in the mining and industrial sector, where you'll be responsible for the repair, installation, and maintenance of conveyor belts across various sites. You'll be working with a crew that knows their stuff, in environments that keep essential operations moving — so reliability and technical know-how matter here. As a Belt Splicer, no two days look exactly the same. You could be out on a mine site one day and in an industrial facility the next, vulcanising belts, fitting mechanical fasteners, and keeping conveyors running at their best. The work is physical and requires focus, but if you take pride in doing the job right the first time, you'll fit right in. This casual role is a great entry point for people looking to build consistent work in a high-demand trade. Key Responsibilities

• Carry out hot and cold vulcanising of conveyor belts to manufacturer and site specifications
• Install and repair mechanical belt fasteners across a range of belt widths and types
• Inspect conveyor systems to identify wear, damage, and alignment issues
• Prepare belt ends and splicing surfaces, including skiving and buffing
• Work safely in compliance with site-specific procedures and WHS requirements
• Liaise with site supervisors and maintenance teams to minimise conveyor downtime
• Complete accurate job records, timesheets, and safety documentation
• Maintain and care for tools, splicing equipment, and vulcanising gear

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Belt Splicer with both hot vulcanising and cold splicing techniques(Essential)
• Current Construction Induction (White Card)(Essential)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen(Essential)
• Physical fitness to perform manual labour in outdoor and confined environments, including lifting, kneeling, and working at heights or in tight spaces(Essential)
• Current HR or HC driver's licence for travel between sites
• Confined Space and/or Working at Heights ticket(Essential)
• Experience working on Tier 1 or Tier 2 mining sites in WA
• Beltsplicing Ticket(Essential)
