About the Role

Our client runs a busy tyre retail and fitting operation in Coopers Plains, QLD, and they're on the lookout for a skilled Tyre Fitter to join their workshop full time. You'll be working alongside a tight-knit team in a fast-paced environment where no two days are exactly the same. This is a hands-on role from the moment you walk through the door. You'll be fitting, balancing, and rotating tyres across a range of passenger vehicles, 4WDs, and light commercial vehicles, keeping customers moving safely and efficiently. The team values people who work with a sense of urgency, communicate well with customers, and keep their workspace clean and safe. If you've got solid experience in a tyre fitting or automotive workshop role and you're ready to hit the ground running, this is a great opportunity to lock in stable, full-time work with a well-established operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit, balance, and rotate tyres on passenger vehicles, 4WDs, and light commercial vehicles
- Carry out tyre inspections and provide accurate advice to customers on tyre condition and replacement needs
- Operate wheel balancing machines, tyre changers, and other workshop equipment
- Check and adjust tyre pressures to manufacturer specifications
- Assist with wheel alignments as required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Process customer transactions and assist at the counter during busy periods
- Identify and report any additional vehicle safety concerns observed during fitting
Requirements
- Previous experience in a tyre fitting role or automotive workshop environment(Essential)
- Current Queensland driver's licence (manual preferred)(Essential)
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting tyres and working on your feet for extended periods(Essential)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen(Essential)
- Experience with wheel alignments and ADAS calibration
- Strong customer service skills and confidence communicating with the public
