About the Role

If you're a confident driver who takes pride in handling other people's belongings with care, this one's worth a read. We're on the lookout for an experienced Truck Jockey to join a busy removals and transport operation based in Cairns. You'll be behind the wheel of trucks across a range of sizes, navigating job sites, residential streets, and tight access areas, then rolling up your sleeves to help the team load, unload, wrap, and secure goods safely and on schedule. This is a hands-on, physical role that pairs driving skill with solid manual handling ability. Day to day you'll be working alongside a close-knit crew, conducting pre-start vehicle checks, following WHS and safe handling procedures, and representing the team professionally when interacting with customers on site. No two days are exactly the same, and the work moves at a good pace, so reliability and a can-do attitude go a long way. To be considered, you'll need a valid MR or HR licence with a clean driving record, previous experience in removals, transport, or a similarly physical role, and the fitness to handle heavy lifting throughout a full shift. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach are just as important as what you bring behind the wheel. Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
