About the Role

If you're a people person who knows your way around electrical products and loves closing a sale, this one's got your name on it. This is a full-time Internal Sales role based in Dandenong, VIC, sitting within a busy electrical wholesale operation. You'll be the first point of contact for trade customers, helping them find the right products and get what they need to keep their jobs moving. Our client is a well-established name in the electrical distribution space, and the Dandenong branch is a fast-paced, trade-focused environment. You'll be working alongside a tight-knit team that takes pride in product knowledge and customer service. No two days look the same, and there's plenty of variety between counter sales, phone enquiries, and quoting. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in electrical wholesaling or the trades who's ready to step into a sales-focused role and build strong relationships with regular customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist trade customers over the counter and via phone with product enquiries and orders
• Provide accurate product advice across a range of electrical materials and supplies
• Prepare and follow up on customer quotes in a timely manner
• Process sales orders accurately using the branch's internal system
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regular trade and contractor customers
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are picked, packed and ready for collection or dispatch
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise each customer interaction
• Keep up to date with product range changes, promotions and supplier updates

Requirements

• Previous experience in electrical wholesale, trade counter sales or a related industry(Essential)
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a genuine interest in helping people(Essential)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customer requests at once(Essential)
• Solid working knowledge of electrical products and materials
• Experience using a wholesale or ERP ordering system (e.g. Eclipse, Pronto or similar)
• Trade qualification or background as an electrician highly regarded
