About the Role
Qualified sparky who takes pride in clean, safe work? This one's got your name on it. Our client is a well-established operation running a solid pipeline of commercial and residential electrical work. They're after a licensed Electrician to join a tight-knit crew and hit the ground running across a variety of projects. You'll be working on everything from new installations and fit-outs to fault finding and maintenance, so no two days look the same. This is a full-time role with consistent hours and steady work on the books. The team is experienced, the work is varied, and there's plenty of opportunity to keep your skills sharp across different sites and project types.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems across commercial and residential sites
- Read and interpret electrical plans, schematics and technical drawings
- Carry out fault finding, diagnosis and rectification on existing electrical installations
- Install switchboards, distribution boards, lighting and power systems to Australian standards
- Conduct testing and inspection of electrical work and complete relevant documentation
- Work safely on site in accordance with WHS regulations and safe work method statements
- Liaise with site supervisors, other trades and clients as required
- Ensure all work complies with AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules and relevant state regulations
Requirements
- Full Electrical Contractor or Tradesperson Licence (state-issued, must be current and relevant to the state of work)(Essential)
- Current White Card (General Construction Induction)(Essential)
- Electrical licence must be unencumbered with no restrictions affecting commercial or residential work(Essential)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen(Essential)
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket or willingness to obtain
- Experience across both commercial and residential projects, including fit-outs, new builds or maintenance contracts
- Own tools and reliable transport to get to various sites
