About the Role

Our client operates a busy food manufacturing facility and is on the hunt for a skilled Electrician to join their maintenance team. You'll be working across a modern production site, keeping critical equipment and systems running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be involved in everything from routine preventative maintenance to fault finding and breakdowns, supporting a team that keeps a high-volume operation moving around the clock. The work is varied, the environment is well-structured, and there's genuine opportunity to build your expertise in industrial food manufacturing. You'll be part of a tight-knit maintenance crew that takes pride in their work and looks out for each other on the floor. If you're reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a regulated food production setting, this could be a great long-term fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems, motors, control panels and production equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime on the production line
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Install, test and commission new electrical equipment and infrastructure as required
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Australian standards and site safety procedures
  • Liaise with production supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities around operational schedules
  • Complete accurate maintenance records and work orders using the site's CMMS
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce recurring faults

Requirements

  • Current Australian Electrical Licence (Electrician's Licence)(Essential)
  • White Card (General Construction Induction)(Essential)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen(Essential)
  • Solid experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment(Essential)
  • Experience with PLC fault finding and basic programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens or similar)
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Working at Heights ticket or High Voltage authorisation
