About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Manual landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, soil spreading and garden edging
Other landscaping tasks as directed by Site Supervisor
Ensure junior staff are completing landscaping works as instructed by the senior site team
Demonstrate professional standards of punctuality, personal presentation and reliability
Attend daily morning site toolbox discussions before work commences, noting relevant safey issues, the day's activities, and how to record on timesheets
Report all site issues, changes and requirements to Site Supervisor
Monitor workplace practices and ensure health, safety and environmental standards are adhered to in accordance with the Deep Green OHS&E Plan.
Monitor and maintain a safe working site, identify, rectify and report hazards to Site Supervisor and maintain safe and tidy work zones
Correctly use all personal protective equipment
Attend monthly company toolbox meetings, raise issues and contribute ideas
Maintain site tools, equipment, materials. Conduct equipment pre-starts before use.
Ensure team has all the resources required for site tasks, such as relevant plant and equipment and fuel.
Procurements of materials as directed by site supervisor
Maintain any company vehicle or machine in your control in a clean and tidy condition and raise any vehicle issues with the Operations Manager
Provide support for the site supervisor
Ensure the professional construction of landscaping projects to the highest quality
Ensure a safe working environment for all Deep Green employees and subcontractors
Promote a positive site work environment
Promptly identify, report and action all site issues

Reasonable level of physical fitness

Tools and machinery used in hard and soft landscaping
Requirements
Essential – First Aid qualification
Essential – Construction White Card
Desirable – MR class drivers license
Desirable – Certificate III in Landscape Construction or similar
Highly desirable – leading a team of labourers
Highly desirable – commercial and residential landscape construction
